Allied Steel Buildings is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to design pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMB) and complex steel structures. You will ensure designs meet codes, coordinate with the detailing team (Tekla), and perform value engineering to optimize costs while maintaining safety.

You will mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in engineering processes. The role requires strong autonomy, problem-solving ability, and proficient use of MBS, SAP2000, ETABS, IDEA

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, preferably with a Structural specialization.
• Minimum 5 years designing pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMB) and complex steel structures.
• Experience with light- to medium-duty overhead cranes, mezzanines, irregular geometries.
• Expert in MBS, SAP2000, ETABS, IDEA StatiCa; strong AutoCAD; familiarity with Tekla or IFC models.

Responsabilidades

• Provide accurate, clear, and detailed structural designs for PEMB meeting codes and manufacturing constraints.
• Perform value engineering to optimize costs without compromising safety.
• Interpret complex drawings and coordinate with Detailing Team ( Tekla ) for transfer to shop drawings.
• Review engineering calculations and cross-check drawings before release to production.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in engineering processes.
