remoti in Bogotá is seeking a Senior .NET Software Engineer to design, build, and scale backend services powering business-critical applications. You will work with Product, Engineering, and Architecture teams to deliver robust RESTful APIs, microservices, and data-intensive systems.

You will optimize performance, ensure fault-tolerance, handle concurrency, and write clean, testable code using .NET Core, C#, Azure and AWS. Experience with React/Next is a plus.

Formación

We're looking for a Senior .NET Software Engineer to join our Engineering team and help build highly scalable backend systems that power business-critical applications. In this role, you'll design, develop, and maintain distributed backend services using modern Java while collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, and Architecture teams. You'll solve complex technical challenges, optimize application and database performance, and contribute to building reliable, resilient systems that support high-volume production workloads. Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using modern .Net and associated technologies.
• Build RESTful APIs and microservices that support high-volume production workloads.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following software engineering best practices.
• Design performant, fault-tolerant, and resilient backend solutions.
• Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement long-term solutions.
• Design systems that safely handle concurrency, distributed transactions, and high traffic.

Qualifications

Required Skills

• Professional .NET backend development experience, with strong proficiency in C#, .Net Core, Azure and AWS. Expertise in frontend technologies like React and Next is a big plus.
• Strong understanding of concurrency and distributed systems, including multithreading, synchronization, thread safety, deadlocks, race conditions, and designing reliable, scalable backend services.
• Advanced SQL and database experience, with the ability to write and optimize complex queries, understand joins, aggregations, window functions, and work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
• Solid problem-solving skills, including algorithms, data structures, performance optimization, debugging, and identifying production issues in large-scale systems.
• Practical use of AI tools for development.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in financial, accounting or banking industries.
