CBTW Americas is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with strong Java and AWS expertise to join our cloud-focused team in Bogotá. You will design, develop, and implement automated testing frameworks for cloud-native applications and validate APIs, microservices, and serverless components.

You will integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines using AWS services and third-party tools, conduct performance testing, and ensure IaC coverage with CloudFormation or Terraform.

Formación

• 5+ years as an SDET/QA automation engineer with Java.

• Strong automation experience in Java.
• Proven experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, CloudWatch).
• Experience with test automation frameworks like Selenium, TestNG or JUnit.
• Proficient in testing RESTful APIs and microservices; REST tools like RestAssured or Postman.
• Hands-on with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline/CodeBuild).
• Familiar with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum and test principles.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement automated test frameworks and tools using Java for cloud-based apps on AWS.
• Develop and execute tests for APIs, microservices, and serverless architectures (Lambda, API Gateway).
• Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and product teams to ensure testability and cloud best practices.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using AWS services or third-party tools.
• Conduct performance and scalability testing for AWS-deployed applications.
• Ensure comprehensive test coverage for IaC using CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Monitor and analyze test results; identify and resolve AWS-based service issues.
• Optimize and scale testing environments using AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, EKS).
• Stay updated on AWS technologies and incorporate them into testing strategies.
