Visa is seeking a Senior Project Manager to translate program objectives into clear execution plans across acceptance, acquiring, processing, and issuing platforms. You will steer workstreams through build, onboarding, migration, testing, and go-live, coordinating with clients, partners, and vendors.

The role requires 8+ years of experience, PMP and Agile proficiency, and fluency in English and Spanish. Travel up to 25% may be needed; a Bachelor’s degree is required, Master’s preferred.

Job Description

Role Overview:

TheProject Managerplays a critical role in translating program objectives into clear execution plans for assigned workstreams related to the implementation of Visa platforms, products, and services acrossAcceptance, Acquiring, Processing, and Issuing— areas currently undergoing significant expansion at Visa. These workstreams may includebuild, onboarding, migration, certification, environments, data, testing, integration, operations readiness, or client implementation.

This role operates within the overall program governance structure, aligning workstream plans, deliverables, risks, dependencies, and reporting with the integrated program schedule and critical path. The Project Manager leads disciplined execution acrossVisa, Partner's Platforms and Services, clients, and third-party stakeholders, supporting timely, high-quality, well-governed, and transparent delivery aligned with audit-readiness expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Delivery and Planning:

• Manage assigned workstreams across the full implementation lifecycle, including build, onboarding, migration, certification, testing, integration, operational readiness, cutover, and go-live preparation.
• Maintain clear workstream plans that align milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and critical path activities with the integrated program schedule.
• Lead day-to-day execution to support timely, high-quality delivery in line with program expectations.

Cross-Functional Coordination and Risk Management:

• Coordinate activities across Visa, Partner's Platforms and Services, client stakeholders, and relevant third parties.
• Identify and manage dependencies, risks, assumptions, issues, and blockers through structured RAID tracking.
• Escalate material risks or issues early with clear impact, owners, mitigation options, and resolution paths.

Governance, Reporting, and Documentation:

• Provide accurate, data-driven status reporting for program governance, bank PMO oversight, executive updates, and dashboards.
• Maintain clear documentation and traceability across requirements, deliverables, decisions, changes, testing evidence, approvals, and phase gates.
• Support audit readiness by ensuring evidence and documentation are organized, accessible, and aligned to governance expectations.

Change Control and Stakeholder Alignment:

• Support structured change management by assessing impacts to scope, timeline, cost, dependencies, risk, and quality.
• Maintain clarity on approved scope and support disciplined scope management throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Engage stakeholders through clear communication, meetings, action reviews, and delivery checkpoints to ensure alignment on responsibilities, deadlines, dependencies, and decisions.

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing technology, payments, banking, acquiring, processing, or financial services delivery projects.
• Strong project management discipline across planning, execution, RAID management, dependency tracking, reporting, change control, and complex delivery workstreams.
• Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional, geographically dispersed teams in matrix environments, working effectively with clients, partners, vendors, technical teams, and business stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of governance, documentation, traceability, and audit-readiness expectations in regulated financial environments.
• Experience in Agile environments is required; active PMP certification is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and business experts at all levels.
• Strong project management skills, organizational discipline, attention to detail, and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, assignments, and roles.
• Strong proficiency with project management tools, with Microsoft Project, Jira, and Smartsheet as key platforms.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled project management capabilities to support planning, automated reporting, meeting summaries, action tracking, risk identification, dependency tracking, and data-driven delivery governance is preferred.
• Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
• 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree is required; Master's degree is preferred.
• This position may require travel 10–25% of the time.
