Job summary

Canals, Inc. is seeking a senior ML Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable ML models for logistics automation. You will own end-to-end ML pipelines, explore data, deploy models, and monitor in production while mentoring others.

You’ll collaborate with engineering to align ML work with customer needs, implement MLOps practices, and drive measurable business value in a fast-growing, remote-first environment across the Americas.

Qualifications

• Senior-level experience building and deploying ML models in production.
• Experience designing scalable data pipelines and working with large datasets.
• Comfort taking ownership of projects and delivering measurable customer value.
• Strong Python skills with ML frameworks and data tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable machine learning models for logistics processes.
• Own projects end-to-end from problem definition to deployment and monitoring.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to align ML work with customer needs and value.
• Mentor team members, review code, and promote reproducible, high-quality ML practices.
• Evaluate and implement tools to improve ML infrastructure and workflows.
• Help shape Canals' future as we scale with customers.
