Growth Acceleration Partners in Envigado, Colombia is seeking a Senior Java/Node Software Engineer to join our Web Scraper Team, building scalable scraping solutions to extract hotel rate and pricing data from multiple websites.

The ideal candidate has strong hands-on Java development, Node.js backend, and proven experience in web scraping and data processing, with the ability to troubleshoot, monitor performance, and work across cross-functional teams.

Formación

• 6 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on Java development experience.
• Active working experience with Node.js backend development.
• Proven hands-on experience with web scraping or large-scale data extraction projects.
• Experience providing production support, monitoring, and real-time troubleshooting.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain web scraping applications to extract hotel rate and pricing data from multiple external websites.
• Build scalable, reliable, and high-performance scraping solutions using Java and Node.js.
• Provide production support, monitor applications, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis.
• Analyze complex website structures and implement optimal scraping strategies for dynamic and static pages.
• Handle end-to-end data parsing, transformation, and validation processes.
• Monitor scheduled scraping jobs and data quality, ensuring high availability.
• Collaborate with engineering and business teams to support cross-functional data requirements.
