Brightgrove Ltd. is seeking a Senior Java Engineer to lead a greenfield platform initiative, building scalable backend services in Kotlin and Java on Spring Boot within an AWS-native environment. You will own critical API contracts, drive architectural standards, and ensure high-quality, production-ready services.

The role emphasizes deep systems design skills, cross-team collaboration, and accountability for correctness, security, and performance in a distributed, high-throughput environment.

Formación

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 5+ years building JVM services.
• Expert in Java and Kotlin with Spring Boot.
• AWS-native engineering experience.
• Experience with API contracts and cross-team negotiation.
• Proven track record with AI-assisted coding workflows.

Responsabilidades

• Design and build backend services in Kotlin and Java on Spring Boot, deployed to AWS ECS Fargate behind API Gateway.
• Own API contracts and integration points across teams.
• Lead code reviews and ensure production-readiness.
• Improve observability and pilot deployments across the platform.
