CBTW Americas is seeking a Senior Java Developer to design and build high-performance applications for critical systems. You will support web-based apps, improve our software engineering practices, and drive RESTful services across cloud deployments.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in Java, strong Spring experience, and hands-on CI/CD with Docker/Jenkins. Advanced English and Colombia location are required for this role.

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related subject.
• Advanced English level required.
• 5+ years of Java development experience.
• 5+ years with Spring framework (Spring, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring Security, etc).
• 3+ years in CI/CD pipelines; Docker, Jenkins/Concourse.

The role

As part of our development team, the Senior Java Developer will be responsible for designing and building high-performance, reliable applications for critical systems, ensuring uninterrupted service. This role involves supporting the development and upkeep of web-based applications, as well as enhancing our overall software engineering capabilities. The ideal candidate should possess extensive experience in web application development.

We're Looking for

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
• Advanced English Level Required.
• 5+ years of experience in Java development.
• 5+ years of experience with Spring framework (Spring, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring Security, etc).
• 3+ years of experience in CI/CD pipelines; including technologies such as Docker, Jenkins/Concourse.
• Ability to write well-designed, testable, efficient code
• Experience in designing and developing applications using Java EE platforms.
• Experience in implementing RESTful web services.
• Experience with cloud technologies, such as AWS
• Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL, and NoSQL.
• Solid understanding of hibernate and micro-services.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented principles.
• Understanding of Gitflow workflow.
• Experience with JBoss application server.
• Experience with Maven.
• Experience with Java Messaging.
• Extensive knowledge of API development.
• Experience using code management and collaboration tools, such as Bitbucket.
• Experience working in an agile environment, using Jira.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with financial applications, especially in the peer-to-peer space and involving payment cards.
