Overview

Eightx provides fractional CFO services for fast‑growing eCommerce brands and agencies across Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom. Our goal is to help business owners scale with more cash and less stress.

Responsibilities

• Assist a global portfolio of clients with financial modeling, budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and scenario planning.
• Build 3‑statement dynamic financial models from the ground up and adjust them monthly to reflect actual results.
• Perform market research and trend analysis to provide actionable insights for clients.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, KPI dashboards, and 3‑statement forecasts; monitor cash flow and forecast.
• Update board and investor reporting decks and communicate potential issues to clients, CFOs, etc.

Qualifications

• Microsoft Excel expert; fast at building, updating, and troubleshooting financial models.
• 5+ years of experience as a financial analyst; Bachelors degree required, professional designation (CPA, CA, MFin, MSc) preferred.
• Proficient in North American accounting principles; comfortable with US/Canadian GAAP.
• Self‑motivated, creative problem‑solver, and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to take ownership of work and mistakes.

Requirements

• Time zone: Vancouver, Canada or Toronto, Canada.
• Experience building 3‑statement models and adjusting them monthly.
• Experience with Shopify, QuickBooks Online, Xero, Google Sheets/Docs, Glew.io, Amazon Seller/Vendor, Rippling, Gusto, and similar platforms.
