AECOM is seeking an Environmental Engineer in Bogotá to support remediation system operations and soil/groundwater investigations. You will oversee data management, reports, and interdisciplinary collaboration across projects, with a focus on design and operational optimization.

The role requires strong communication skills in English, experience in environmental consulting, and the ability to work both independently and within teams on diverse remediation projects.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or closely related field.
  • 4+ years of relevant environmental consulting experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication in English.
  • Experience with remediation system operations and data management is a plus.

Responsabilidades

  • Evaluate remediation data and treatment performance.
  • Develop operation and maintenance plans.
  • Analyze reports, plans, drawings, and specs.
  • Model subsurface conditions and remediation performance.
  • Assist with remedial technology design.
  • Assist with planning environmental field work and monitoring.
  • Support budgeting, scheduling, and project scope.
  • Collaborate with engineers and scientists across projects.

Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer to support remediation system operations, soil and groundwater investigations and remediation projects. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in remediation system management or oversight of operations, maintenance, and monitoring, and some system design. In addition, the candidate will have experience in data management and technical report production. The position requires strong multi-discipline technical and interpersonal skills and the ability to work productively both independently and collaboratively with engineers and scientists on a variety of remediation projects. Strong verbal and written communication skills are critical for this role.


Responsibilities include:


  • Evaluation of remediation data and treatment performance.

  • Development of operation and maintenance plans.

  • Analyze data and prepare and review engineering related reports, plans, calculations, drawings, figures, and specifications using accepted engineering practices and procedures.

  • Modeling and analysis of subsurface conditions and remediation performance.

  • Assist with remedial technology design.

  • Assist with planning environmental field work, including pre-design investigations, remediation systems operations, maintenance, and monitoring, groundwater sampling, and fluid level gauging.

  • Operations tasks include budgeting, schedule and scope development and tracking.

  • Flexibility to work on a multitude of diverse projects and a positive attitude.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or closely related field and

  • 4+ years of relevant experience


Preferred Qualifications


  • 6+ years of experience in environmental consulting

  • Master’s Degree is a plus

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

  • Experience with environmental data management systems (e.g., EQuIS, Locus EIM, ESdat, EDS, or equivalent platforms)

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in english.
