ScotiaTech, Scotiabank's technology hub in Bogota, seeks a Cloud Site Reliability Engineer Specialist to ensure availability, performance, and reliability of critical apps on Google Cloud Platform. You will combine software and systems engineering to build scalable, fault-tolerant infrastructure, emphasizing proactive monitoring, automation, and continuous improvement.

The role requires expert GCP knowledge, Terraform IaC, Python scripting, and strong Kubernetes, GitOps, and CI/CD experience.

Formación

• Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in financial services or regulated industry.
• Expert knowledge of Google Cloud Platform services, cloud networking, and security principles.
• Terraform IaC experience.
• Advanced Python scripting.
• Kubernetes orchestration experience.
• Strong GitOps knowledge with Argo CD or Flux.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of SRE concepts, including SLOs and blameless postmortems.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain scalable, resilient infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform using Terraform.
• Develop automation to reduce operational toil and improve efficiency.
• Deploy, manage, and scale containerized apps with Kubernetes for performance and availability.
• Implement secure cloud networking, including VPCs, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Enforce robust security practices and secret management in cloud environments.
• Drive GitOps adoption with Argo CD or Flux for declarative management.
• Define, track, and report on SLOs/SLIs to maintain reliability.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, reliable deployments.
• Lead incident response and blameless post-mortems to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with development teams to embed reliability into SDLC.
