Valenta, an Australian business, seeks a meticulous Bookkeeper/Accountant to support day-to-day financial operations and maintain accurate records, with a focus on reconciliations and data integrity.

The ideal candidate has a formal accounting qualification, at least five years of experience, experience with reconciliations and bank accounts, and strong English communication; Xero experience is a plus, and the role may involve working with international processes.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification or equivalent experience preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting and bookkeeping experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
• Demonstrated experience performing high-volume reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Responsabilidades

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bookkeeping activities.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and other balance sheet accounts.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial records and transactions.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure data integrity.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare financial reports and supporting documentation as required.
• Maintain compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and financial procedures.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate financial information is maintained.
