Tether.io is looking for a senior Backend Developer to enhance and maintain backend components of their platform. You will collaborate with developers and product managers to ensure effective requirements translation into practical architectures.

Ideal candidates have at least 5 years of experience with JavaScript/Node.js, familiarity with microservices, and strong security practices. This is an opportunity to work within a dynamic team while implementing resilient and scalable backend services.

About The Job

As a senior Backend Developer, you will be part of the team that works on the development and maintenance of the backend components of multiple services related to the platform.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with developers, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into clear, practical architectures.
• Improve existing core backend services written in NodeJS.
• Implement new solutions that interact with different core services through RPC calls.
• Write complex database queries for compliance and financial purposes.
• Ensure resilience and scalability of backend services as the platform continues to grow.
• Apply security best practices to protect the safety of the user base.

Qualifications and Experience

• At least 5 years of experience working with JavaScript/Node.js.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture.
• Experience with databases such as MySQL and MongoDB.
• Strong understanding of security practices.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Active participation in the development of a complex platform.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with blockchain integration.
• Comfortable with high-availability concepts.
• Experience with Ruby on Rails.
• Knowledge of message queues (Redis), caches, and job queues.
