Applaudo is seeking a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer to design and build secure, scalable Azure platforms. You will drive Terraform-based IaC, implement landing zones, and orchestrate CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, while guiding governance, security, and cost optimization.

You will lead and mentor teams across cloud transformation initiatives, enabling reliable delivery for enterprise workloads with strong collaboration and communication skills.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 7+ years hands-on DevOps and cloud experience.
• Experience designing Azure tenant platforms aligned with CAF.
• Expertise in IaC with Terraform.
• Experience implementing Azure landing zones for migrations.
• Proficiency with Azure DevOps for CI/CD, source control, and project management.
• Strong networking, identity, and security architecture knowledge.
• Terraform state management and secret handling with Key Vault.

Responsabilidades

You are a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer with strong hands-on experience implementing Azure platform services and building modern DevOps practices across enterprise cloud environments.

You are passionate about designing secure, scalable, and automated Azure platforms while enabling reliable infrastructure and application delivery through Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD automation.

You combine Azure Platform Engineering expertise, including landing zones, networking, identity, security, and governance, with strong Azure DevOps engineering experience using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines to manage cloud infrastructure and application deployments.

You thrive in environments where ownership, scalability, and continuous improvement are highly valued. You are adaptable, detail-oriented, and capable of providing technical leadership and

operational guidance to support cloud transformation initiatives and enterprise DevOps practices.

• Note: this role operates under a contractor model.

You Bring to Applaudo the Following Competencies:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is desired, or equivalent professional experience.
• 7+ years of hands‑on experience in DevOps and cloud environments.
• Strong experience designing and implementing Azure tenant platforms aligned with Microsoft CAF (Cloud Adoption Framework).
• Expertise building and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform.
• Experience implementing Azure landing zones for application and workload migrations.
• Proficiency with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines, source control, and project management.
• Experience with Azure networking (VNets, peering, private endpoints, NSGs, or similar).
• Hands‑on experience with Terraform state management, Terraform imports, and secret management (e.g., Azure Key Vault integration).
• Strong automation and scripting skills using PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Knowledge of Azure security controls, identity and access management (IAM), and governance best practices.
• Experience enforcing governance and policy compliance through management group inheritance.
• Ability to monitor cloud environments for performance, security, and cost optimization.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to provide technical guidance and support across cross‑functional teams.
• Conversational English proficiency

You Will Be Accountable for the Following Responsibilities:

• Design and implement Azure tenant platforms aligned with Microsoft CAF standards.
• Build, deploy, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform.
• Implement Azure landing zones to support application and workload migrations.
• Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines, source control, and project workflows using Azure DevOps to support both infrastructure and application delivery into Azure.
• Automate resource provisioning, scaling, and infrastructure management processes.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Implement and manage Azure security controls, including IAM configurations.
• Enforce governance and policy compliance across Azure environments.
• Monitor infrastructure environments to ensure performance, security, and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver infrastructure solutions aligned with business requirements.
• Provide technical guidance, troubleshooting, and operational support to stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to cloud governance, automation, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Azure Cloud Platform and Microsoft CAF.
• Hands‑on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automation scripting.
• Strong understanding of Azure networking, identity, and security architecture, combined with Terraform expertise (state, imports, secret management).
• Conversational English proficiency
