Job summary

Sanofi Group in Bogotá leads Accounting within the Global Services Hub. The Closing & Reporting Analyst delivers monthly GL closings, prepares JEs, and ensures accurate balance sheet and P&L postings, while maintaining SOX compliance. Role requires IFRS familiarity and strong English.

You'll work in a cross-functional finance team, driving improvements, preparing reports, and coaching junior analysts. The position offers hybrid work with up to 50% remote.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
• Hands-on experience with SAP FICO is required.
• Experience in General Ledger closing and reporting is preferred.
• International/shared services exposure is a plus.
• English proficiency at advanced level is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver General Ledger monthly closing and reporting per SLAs.
• Prepare and post manual journal entries (MJE) and validate sub-ledgers.
• Reconcile accounts and ensure data accuracy for Group and country reports.
• Produce management, tax, legal and statutory reports; support ad-hoc analyses.
• Ensure SOX/compliance and drive process improvements and KPIs.

Within the Bogota Hub, as part of Sanofi’s Business Transformation organization, the Closing & Reporting Analyst plays a key role within the Account-to-Report (A2R) process. This position focuses on delivering high-quality General Ledger closing and reporting services, ensuring compliance with global standards, and contributing to the efficiency and reliability of financial operations.

Main responsibilities

Operations (Closing & Reporting)

• Deliver General Ledger monthly closing and reporting services in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
• Perform monthly closing activities following Group timelines and procedures
• Review system interfaces and ensure accurate postings, including AR/AP sub-ledgers closure and Balance Sheet & P&L account validation
• Prepare and post manual journal entries (MJE), ensuring all recurring and non-recurring items are properly recorded
• Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
• Prepare management, tax, legal, and statutory reports at both Group and country level
• Generate ad-hoc reports and analysis to support business decision-making
• Contribute to business reviews and financial insights
• Ensure compliance with Sanofi accounting policies, internal controls, and SOX/audit requirements
• Deliver operational KPIs and ensure adherence to the global Core Model
• Develop deep expertise in processes and become a key user within the A2R scope
• Anticipate operational issues and support/coaching for junior analysts
• Document and support knowledge transfer of A2R processes

Continuous Improvement

• Identify and implement process improvement opportunities
• Support automation initiatives and ensure effective adoption of new tools and processes
• Contribute to enhancing efficiency and standardization across operations

About you

Experience

• Proven experience in General Ledger accounting, closing, and reporting processes
• Experience working in international or shared services environments is a plus
• Solid knowledge of IFRS and ideally exposure to local GAAPs
• Experience in financial reporting and closing cycles in multicultural environments
