Capgemini Engineering is seeking a Security Consulting Engineer in Bogotá to design, implement, and optimize security solutions for enterprise and service provider environments. You will lead end-to-end delivery, produce High/Low Level Designs, and drive implementation plans while engaging with customers.

The role requires hands-on expertise in network security, Cisco ISE, VPNs, firewalls, and cloud security, plus strong communication and English fluency.

Formación

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent is required.
• 4–6 years of relevant professional experience.
• CCIE/CCNP Security certification and/or Python scripting skills are a plus.
• Fluency in English is expected; other languages are a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and optimize security solutions for enterprise and service provider environments.
• Lead end-to-end delivery of security projects with High/Low Level Designs and Implementation Plans.
• Act as primary problem-resolution contact for complex customer engagements.
• Support pre-sales with solution designs and technical input to the sales team.
• Develop test environments and contribute automation scripts.

Job Description

Your Role

As a Security Consulting Engineer, you will be a key technical advisor and delivery leader, working directly with customers to design, implement, and optimise security solutions that drive real business outcomes. You will bring together deep technical expertise and a consultative approach to tackle complex challenges across enterprise and service provider environments.

In this role you will play a key role in:

• Partnering with customers to plan, design and implement Cisco security solutions — including ISE, Next-Gen Firewalls, VPN, Cloud Security (Umbrella, Cloudlock) and Secure Network Analytics — aligned to their specific business needs
• Taking a leadership role in the end-to-end delivery of security projects, creating and approving key deliverables such as High Level Designs, Low Level Designs, and Implementation Plans
• Acting as the primary point of contact for problem resolution on complex customer engagements, ensuring timely and effective solutions across a broad range of security technologies
• Supporting pre‑sales activities by translating business requirements into solution designs and contributing technical input to the sales team
• Building and leveraging test environments to validate solutions and resolve complex compatibility issues, while contributing to the development of digital intellectual capital such as scripts and automation tools

Your Profile

We are looking for a motivated and technically strong security professional who thrives in a client-facing environment and is ready to take ownership of complex delivery challenges.

• Technical expertise in network security domains, with hands‑on experience in one or more of the following: Network Access Control (Cisco ISE), VPN, Firewalls (Cisco ASA / Next-Gen FW / NG IPS), Content Security (WSA, ESA), Cloud Security or Secure Workload
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving ability, with a track record of troubleshooting and resolving complex security issues during migrations and implementations in enterprise or service provider environments
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders, and fluency in English (additional languages such as Spanish, French, German or Italian are a plus)
• A degree in Computer Science or equivalent, with 4–6 years of relevant professional experience; CCIE/CCNP Security certification and/or Python scripting skills are a plus
