Job summary

WPP Media is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize enterprise ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure Data Lake. You will deliver scalable data solutions, manage complex T‑SQL queries, and drive automation through Python and API orchestration.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of progressive experience in data engineering.
• Expert‑level hands‑on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure T‑SQL/SQL, and cloud data platforms (Azure or GCP).
• Proven experience designing and managing large production ETL/ELT pipelines (ADF orchestration, Data Lake).
• Advanced SQL performance tuning: partitioning, indexing, high‑volume processing.
• Strong Python and API orchestration for automation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize enterprise ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure services.
• Build and optimize Azure T‑SQL solutions to support analytics models and real‑time processing.
• Develop automation frameworks with Python and API orchestration.
• Own production pipeline reliability and perform root‑cause analysis of incidents.
• Define and enforce coding standards and perform code reviews and audits.
