Outlier invites you to join as a QA Coder in a flexible, remote program that helps train AI models by reviewing code and crafting prompts. You will read AI-generated code, flag issues, and help rank model responses to improve accuracy and quality.

No AI experience needed; requires a CS degree, production code experience, strong English, and attention to detail. Roles are freelance 1099; rates up to $34/hr with additional incentives; open to Latin America.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science from a selective institution.
• Software engineering experience contributing to a live production codebase.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Review AI-generated code: Read through code produced by AI models and flag errors, inconsistencies, or quality issues using structured guidelines.
• Rate and rank model responses: Score responses across key dimensions — accuracy, instruction following, and presentation — to help improve model output.
• Write computer science questions: Develop clear, well-structured prompts that challenge AI models and push the boundaries of their coding ability.
