Job summary

BairesDev, a global technology partner, is seeking a Backend Engineer (Node) to design, implement, and maintain scalable server-side applications in the Node.js ecosystem. You will build high‑performance APIs and event‑driven services, ensuring seamless integration with frontend components and other backend services.

The role requires 4+ years in backend engineering, deep Node.js and TypeScript expertise, and experience with PostgreSQL or MongoDB.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in Backend Engineering or related field.
• Proven expertise building scalable APIs with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Experience designing REST or GraphQL APIs with asynchronous patterns.
• Hands-on with PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
• Experience deploying apps on AWS (Lambda/ECS).
• Advanced English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable REST and GraphQL APIs using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Build and optimize event-driven services and asynchronous processing patterns.
• Manage and interact with PostgreSQL or MongoDB databases for data integrity and performance.
• Deploy and maintain cloud-based services using AWS Lambda or ECS.
• Write unit and integration tests with Jest or Vitest to ensure code quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define architecture and specs.
