Job summary

Outlier is hiring a QA Coder who will review AI-generated code, rate model responses, and craft prompts to challenge AI systems. This is a freelance, 1099 contract across Latin America, with flexible hours and up to 40 hours per week.

Applicants should have a CS degree and production code experience, and be fluent in written and spoken English. Pay starts at up to $34 USD per hour, with additional incentives based on project needs and performance.

Qualifications

• Completed a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from a selective institution.
• Software engineering experience contributing to a live production codebase, ideally for a technology company.
• Ability to articulate complex concepts in written and spoken English.
• Excellent attention to detail, including grammar, punctuation and style guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Review AI-generated code: read through code produced by AI models and flag errors, inconsistencies, or quality issues.
• Rate and rank model responses across key dimensions to help improve model output.
• Write computer science questions to challenge AI models and push coding ability.
