Job summary

RV Holdings S.A.S. is seeking a hands-on QA Engineer to design and execute manual and automated tests, validate integrations, and manage defects from discovery to resolution. You will work closely with developers and product teams, ensuring test coverage and quality throughout the software lifecycle.

The role requires a strong foundation in QA methodologies, experience with Jira/TestRail, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks. Remote work is supported in Colombia.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in software quality assurance.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute manual test cases for new features, functional requirements, and regression testing.
• Validate application functionality, integrations, and expected system behavior.
• Identify, document, and track bugs with clear reproduction steps, expected vs actual results, and severity levels.
• Perform manual and/or automated API testing to verify backend services and integrations.
• Use basic database queries to validate data and investigate defects.
• Maintain or contribute to automated test scripts using Playwright, Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, or pytest.
• Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot issues and with product stakeholders to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Identify gaps in test coverage and suggest improvements to testing workflows and QA practices.

Job description

The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in software testing, understands how to identify and document defects effectively, and enjoys working closely with developers and product teams to deliver high-quality software.

What You'll Do

• Test Planning & Execution: Design and execute manual test cases for new features, functional requirements, and regression testing.

• API Testing: Perform manual and/or automated API testing to verify backend services and integrations.
• Database Validation: Use basic database queries to validate data and investigate application defects.
• Automation Support: Maintain or contribute to automated test scripts using frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, or pytest.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with developers to troubleshoot issues and with product stakeholders to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Process Improvement: Identify gaps in test coverage and recommend improvements to testing workflows and QA practices.

What You'll Bring to the Team

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of professional experience in software quality assurance.
• Strong understanding of manual testing methodologies, test case design, and defect lifecycle management.
• Proficiency with bug-tracking and test-management tools such as Jira and TestRail.
• Basic database skills for data validation and defect investigation, including SQL, MongoDB, and Databricks.
• Familiarity with Git and automated testing within CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with at least one automation framework, such as Playwright, Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, or pytest.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision.
