AgileEngine is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to strengthen software quality across the SDLC. You will build regression automation scripts, perform manual validation, and drive quality with automated testing using Gherkin-driven approaches.

• 3+ years of software quality assurance experience.

Responsabilidades

• Build regression automation scripts that support app functionality.
• Manually test software for validation and accuracy based on defined criteria.
• Execute smoke, regression, integration and performance testing.
• Record detailed documentation of feature behavior.
• Record pass/fails and correlate to bugs.
• Identify and elevate risk to quality.
• Collaborate with product team to ensure quality through SDLC.
• Collaborate with customer-facing teams to incorporate user feedback.
• Participate in refinement and estimations of effort for planning.
• Use GitHub to maintain automation repos and scripts.
• Participate in On-Call rotation.

ABOUT THE ROLE

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• - Build regression automation scripts that support app functionality.
• - Manually test software for validation and accuracy based on defined set of criteria.
• - Execute smoke, regression, integration, performance and other testing types to ensure proper behavior of software.
• - Record detailed documentation of feature behavior.
• - Record pass/fails conditions of tests and correlate failures to bug identification.
• - Identify and elevate risk to quality of the product or the process.
• - Collaborate with the product team to ensure quality throughout the SDLC and product release cycles.
• - Collaborate with customer-facing teams to incorporate user feedback in the testing strategy.
• - Participate in refinement and estimations of effort to promote accurate planning.
• - Utilize GitHub to maintain automation repositories, run custom scripts, and facilitate automated quality practices.
• - Participate in On-Call rotation.

MUST HAVES

• - 3+ years of experience in a software quality assurance role.
• - 3+ years of experience in automated testing.
• - Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• - Possess a mindset focused on holistic quality.
• - Experience writing and working with Gherkin for behavior-driven development.
• - Experience with prompt engineering and harness engineering.
• - Experience building Agentic skills focused on Quality Engineering.

NICE TO HAVES

• - Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Jest, Playwright, Postman, JMeter or any other object-oriented based automated testing framework.
• - Experience with testing support functionalities such as GitHub Actions, LambdaTest, SendGrid, Datadog, PagerDuty.
• - Proficiency in SQL.
• - Experience with Ruby on Rails and backend development.
• - Understanding of quality management systems and quality control processes.
• - Background in data-based testing and/or security-based testing.
• - A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other relevant experience.
