The role values hands-on Playwright experience, strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills, and proactive problem-solving in an Agile environment. English proficiency is preferred.

Job Description

About You

You are a QA Automation Engineer passionate about building automation solutions for modern AI-native applications. You enjoy designing scalable test strategies, validating AI-powered workflows, and collaborating closely with engineering teams to deliver reliable, high-quality software.

You thrive in Agile environments where automation, continuous improvement, and innovation are essential. You are proactive, detail-oriented, and excited to explore emerging AI technologies that enhance software quality and testing efficiency.

You Bring to Applaudo the Following Competencies:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is desired, or equivalent professional experience.


• 3+ years of experience in QA Automation.


• Strong experience designing and executing automated testing strategies.


• Hands-on experience with Playwright.


• Strong JavaScript or TypeScript programming skills.


• Experience automating REST APIs.


• Experience testing AI-powered applications is highly desirable.


• Experience working with Stagehand, browser-use, Prompt Engineering, AI Agents, or similar AI technologies is a plus.


• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.


• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.


• Upper-Intermediate English proficiency or higher.

You Will Be Accountable for the Following Responsibilities:

• Design and execute automated testing strategies for AI-native applications.


• Build and maintain API and UI automation suites.


• Validate AI-powered workflows, autonomous agents, and AI-assisted user experiences.


• Collaborate closely with developers to identify risks and improve software quality early in the development lifecycle.


• Continuously improve automation coverage, testing processes, and quality standards.


• Promote QA automation best practices across engineering teams.


• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives.


• Contribute to the adoption of modern AI-assisted testing methodologies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of QA Automation experience.


• Experience with Playwright.


• Strong JavaScript or TypeScript skills.


• Experience automating REST APIs.


• Experience testing AI-powered applications is highly desirable.


• Upper-Intermediate English proficiency.
