GUT Bogotá is seeking a QA Engineer to join the middleware QA team. The role focuses on backend API test automation, performance testing, and quality engineering across microservices.

You will design automated test strategies and validate integrations while collaborating with engineering throughout the software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, AWS Serverless services, Node.js/TypeScript, and modern automation tools, and can integrate tests

Formación

• Experience designing automated tests for RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Experience with AWS Serverless services (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS).
• Hands-on with Node.js, TypeScript, Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, JMeter, and/or LoadRunner.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with monitoring/observability tools such as Dynatrace, APM, and CloudWatch.
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted tools for test automation and data generation.
• Knowledge of Contract Testing and consumer-driven contract frameworks.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional with experience in backend API test automation, performance testing, and quality engineering. This role will help ensure the reliability, scalability, and quality of our middleware services by designing automated test strategies, validating integrations, and collaborating closely with engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

What will help you succeed:

• Experience designing and executing automated tests for RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Working knowledge of AWS Serverless services, including Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, SQS, and SNS.
• Hands-on experience with Node.js, TypeScript, Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, JMeter, and/or LoadRunner.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Dynatrace, APM, and CloudWatch.
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude for test automation and data generation.
• Knowledge of Contract Testing and consumer-driven contract frameworks.
