Activeone - AI Powered Software Development in Colombia seeks a focused Product Requirements Specialist who translates PRDs into Definition-of-Ready, sprint-ready Linear tickets with clear Given/When/Then criteria. You will maintain backlog quality alongside Design, QA, and Engineering, ensuring clean, actionable requirements without owning delivery.

This role emphasizes internal alignment, collaboration with product leads, and rigorous documentation.

• 3+ years in Product Ownership or requirements writing.

• You own the path from a written PRD to sprint-ready work across 3 engineering pods, turning product intent into precise, Definition-of-Ready Linear tickets and keeping the product backlog prioritized and clean. This role focuses on requirements and backlog management, not strategy or delivery management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Translate PRDs into Definition-of-Ready, sprint-ready Linear tickets with clear Given/When/Then acceptance criteria, maintain backlog quality through Definition-of-Ready and format audits, write release notes from what shipped each cycle, and use AI to run and improve the requirements and backlog process.
• Define acceptance criteria in partnership with Design (owns UX) and QA (owns testing). Feed clean requirements into Engineering without owning delivery.

SCOPE — WHAT THIS ROLE IS NOT (PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING)

• Not a technical product manager. You will not set strategy, own the roadmap, write PRDs, run discovery, or define what gets built. Product does that.
• Not a scrum master or delivery manager. You do not facilitate sprint ceremonies and you are not accountable for them. You are welcome in refinement to answer questions about your requirements — but you do not run the meeting. You do not own the board during the sprint, you do not chase blockers, and you do not give the delivery status readout. Engineering keeps all of it, per pod.
• Not an engineering role. No coding and no code review, at any point.
• Not customer-facing. This role is fully internal. You will not manage customer relationships.
• This is deliberately the narrow version of the role. If you are looking for scope growth into product strategy or delivery ownership, this is not the right fit.

HOW THE ROLE FITS (WHERE THE LINES ARE)

• You report to the product lead and co-founder.
• Product sets strategy, owns the roadmap, and writes the PRDs. You translate them into buildable requirements.
• Engineering owns the architecture and the delivery process, including planning and standups. You feed clean, sprint-ready requirements in.
• Delivery is Engineering's, per pod. You are not accountable for keeping work flowing, for unblocking, or for cross-pod delivery coordination.
• Design owns UX. QA owns testing. You define acceptance criteria and partner with both.

REQUIRED TECHNOLOGIES/SKILLS

• Product Ownership / requirements writing ≥ 3 years
• Given/When/Then acceptance criteria ≥ 3 years
• Technical fluency (APIs, data models, edge cases, dependencies — no coding) ≥ 3 years
• AI tooling applied to a real process, with demonstrable proof ≥ 1 year

• Release notes / changelog writing
