Crossing Hurdles seeks a part-time Phylogenetics specialist to review AI-generated problems and evaluation tasks. You will assess scientific accuracy, realism, and correct grading, and provide high-quality annotations and feedback.

The role requires strong reasoning, analytical skills, and excellent remote collaboration, with 8-hour daily overlap with PST. The candidate should have a Master’s/PhD in a related field or 4+ years of experience, and be able to start immediately while working 15–20

Formación

• Master’s/PhD in Phylogenetics, Evolutionary Biology, Bioinformatics, Genetics, Computational Biology, Life Sciences, or related field, OR 4+ years of professional experience in Phylogenetics.
• Strong scientific reasoning, analytical, and research skills.
• Ability to provide detailed feedback and high-quality annotations.
• Excellent structured communication and collaboration skills in a remote environment.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Ability to start immediately and commit approximately 15–20 hours over the next few days.
• Availability for 8 hours per day with at least 4 hours of overlap with PST.
• Access to a desktop/laptop with a reliable internet connection.

Responsabilidades

• Review AI-generated phylogenetics problems, research tasks, and evaluation scenarios.
• Assess whether problems are scientifically accurate, realistic, and correctly graded.
• Evaluate AI-generated responses for biological accuracy, reasoning quality, and completeness.
• Identify scientific errors, logical inconsistencies, and gaps in phylogenetics-related content.
• Provide detailed annotations, constructive feedback, and quality assessments to improve AI outputs.
• Collaborate with AI research teams to enhance evaluation workflows and benchmark quality.
• Apply expertise in phylogenetics and evolutionary biology to support frontier AI model development.
