Ruvimo offers 1:1 online Geography tutoring to middle and high school students in the US. Tutors interpret maps and data, explain climate, population and geopolitics, and adapt lessons to the student’s needs.

You’ll provide feedback, track progress, and create engaging, inquiry-driven sessions that connect geographical concepts to real world events and issues.

• Conduct engaging 1:1 online Geography sessions with middle and high school students in the US.
• Help students understand geographical concepts through real-world examples and current events.
• Teach students to interpret maps, graphs, charts, diagrams and geographic data.
• Develop students' ability to identify patterns, relationships, trends and spatial connections.
• Help students understand the relationship between people, places and the physical environment.
• Encourage students to analyze why geographical patterns occur rather than memorize facts.
• Support students with school assignments, projects, assessments and exam preparation.
• Adapt lessons according to the student's grade level and learning gaps.
• Provide clear, constructive feedback and track student progress.
• Create an engaging environment where students are encouraged to ask questions and think critically.

• Sustainability and human-environment interactions

What You’ll Do

Who We're Looking For

You could be a great fit if you:

• Hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geography, Environmental Studies, Geology, Social Sciences, Education or a related discipline.
• Have prior experience teaching or tutoring middle school or high school Geography.
• Have strong conceptual knowledge across physical and human geography.
• Can confidently explain geographical concepts using real-world examples.
• Are comfortable interpreting maps, graphs, charts and geographic data.
• Have excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
• Can encourage students to think analytically rather than rely on memorization.
• Have experience with the US curriculum/AP Human Geography or similar academic frameworks, or are willing to learn.
• Are confident using technology and conducting engaging online classes.
• Have a stable internet connection and a professional setup for online teaching.
