This role involves mentoring team members, driving technical discussions, and contributing to backend development using Java, Kotlin, and Spring. Candidates should have over 7 years of software engineering experience, strong communication skills, and be fluent in English. This is a remote position based in Colombia that requires availability to align with US Eastern Time.

Formación

• 7+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proven experience as a Lead Engineer or senior technical leader.
• Strong hands-on experience with React Native and mobile development.
• Experience in architecture and technical decision-making.

About the Role

• Role: React Native engineer / Mobile with React Native Engineer
• Location: Colombia (Remote)
• Employment Type: Contract

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of mobile applications using React Native
• Drive technical discussions, architecture decisions, and best practices
• Collaborate closely with engineers through pair programming and team-based development
• Mentor team members, providing technical guidance and performance support
• Contribute to backend development using Java/Kotlin/Spring when required
• Ensure code quality through reviews, testing, and continuous improvement

Must Have

• 7+ years of software engineering experience
• Proven experience as a Lead Engineer or senior technical leader
• Strong hands-on experience with React Native and mobile development
• Experience in architecture and technical decision-making
• Strong communication skills and conversational English fluency
• Experience working in collaborative environments (pair programming, team discussions)
• Availability to work aligned with US Eastern Time

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot
• Familiarity with native Android development
• Experience with PostgreSQL or SQL databases
• Exposure to Redis, Kafka, or distributed systems
• Experience with Azure or cloud environments
