Job summary

Sombra is seeking a Middle Salesforce Engineer to support a fintech platform used by thousands of bank employees for investment services. You will address technical health findings and deliver sprint tasks with limited business complexity, using Salesforce, SLDS, Sales Cloud, and VS Code.

The role requires hands-on Salesforce expertise, strong English communication, and willingness to collaborate across global teams. Flexible hours may be needed to coordinate Pacific Time and other zones.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, or engineering with 3+ years of development experience.
• 3+ years of experience in Salesforce development and web development.
• Strong knowledge of the Salesforce Platform including configuration, flows, Apex triggers, custom web services, Visualforce, Aura, and Lightning Web Components.

Responsibilities

• Participate in agile squad ceremonies and review documented user stories to understand technical and business expectations.
• Review and remediate findings from the platform’s technical health assessment.
• Deliver sprint tasks focused on platform maintenance and improvements with limited business complexity.
• Collaborate with developers, product specialists, and business stakeholders to analyze, design, and implement new features and services.
• Build Salesforce solutions that follow established engineering practices and change management procedures.
• Maintain high code quality through automated unit and functional testing.
• Investigate complex technical problems and consider solutions beyond the immediate technology stack.
• Communicate progress, risks, and technical decisions clearly while working with globally distributed teams.

Job description

We are looking for a Middle Salesforce Engineer to support a fintech platform used by around 10,000 bank employees to serve investment clients. You will address technical health assessment findings and deliver sprint tasks with limited business complexity. The role requires hands-on Salesforce, SLDS, Sales Cloud, and Visual Studio Code experience, along with strong English communication for global collaboration.

Required for this role

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, or engineering, with 3+ years of development experience.
• 3+ years of experience in Salesforce development and web development.
• Deep knowledge of the Salesforce Platform, including configuration, flows, APEX triggers, custom web services, Visualforce, Aura, and Lightning Web Components.
• Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce Lightning Design System (SLDS).
• Practical experience working with Sales Cloud and Financial Services Cloud.
• Experience designing, building, testing, and deploying Salesforce solutions.
• Experience with change management and DevOps processes, including version management and source control with Git.
• Confident use of Visual Studio Code, Salesforce DX, and related development workflows.
• Strong English communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders across global teams.
• Availability to work flexible hours when collaboration across Pacific Time and other time zones is required.
