Job summary

Global Technology Services in Medellín, Colombia, seeks a Mid Platform Admin to own and evolve its enterprise analytics ecosystem. You will manage Terraform deployments and help scale the GenAI infrastructure, acting as a guardian against inertia by promoting objective, future-focused value.

The role requires hands-on experience in data engineering, data compliance, and modern ELT/BI tooling, plus strong leadership and problem-solving skills to mentor engineers and drive data product adoption.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in Data Engineering with 2+ years of daily production mastery in Databricks on AWS.
• Deep familiarity with GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA compliance and related implementations.
• Technical controls for PII protection in distributed data environments.
• Proficiency with ELT and BI tools (Fivetran, AWS DMS, Sigma Computing) and related tooling.
• Understanding RBAC models, Unity Catalog grants, and AWS IAM Identity Center.
• Proven production experience deploying CI/CD pipelines via GitHub Actions and Databricks Asset Bundles (DAB).
• Familiarity with Generative AI concepts and ML techniques and their integration into data workflows.
• Strong troubleshooting and support capabilities.

What you will be doing:

We are seeking a Mid Platform Admin to own Odyssey’s enterprise analytics ecosystem. You will manage everything from terraform deployments to our emerging GenAI infrastructure. Beyond technical execution, you will serve as a strategic guardian against engineering inertia, enforcing a discipline of rational adaptability to ensure investments are driven by objective future value rather than past expenditures.

Required Skills & Experience

• 2+ years in Data Engineering, with 2+ years of daily production mastery in Databricks on AWS.

• Deep familiarity with global data compliance standards (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA) and experience implementing

• Technical controls for PII protection (e.g., dynamic views, column-level encryption) in a distributed data environment.

• Expert-level proficiency with modern ELT and BI tools, specifically Fivetran (connector configuration, transformation), AWS DMS, and Sigma Computing (administration, version control, security), or similar.

• Understanding of Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) models within distributed data systems, specifically regarding Unity Catalog grants and AWS IAM Identity Center.

• Proven production experience deploying CI/CD pipelines via GitHub Actions and Databricks Asset Bundles (DAB).

• Familiarity with Generative AI concepts and modern ML techniques (LLMs, transformers, ensemble methods, deep learning frameworks) and how they integrate into data engineering workflows.

• Strong troubleshooting and support capabilities.

Nice to Have Skills

• Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional (strongly preferred) or AWS Solutions Architect Professional.

• Working knowledge of agile/scrum methodologies and use of agile lifecycle management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
