Job summary

Hyland is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer Mid-Level in Colombia, working remotely on an indefinite contract. You will design, standardize, and improve core infrastructure platforms powering enterprise applications, with a focus on virtualization, cloud, compute, storage, data protection, automation, and security.

You will lead automation efforts, define standards, collaborate with security, operations, and service management, and help manage lifecycle, capacity, and cost.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing, engineering, or supporting enterprise infrastructure platforms.
• Strong hands-on expertise in virtualization, cloud infrastructure, compute, storage, and data protection.
• Proficiency in automation and scripting using PowerShell, Ansible, Python, or similar technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain standards for virtualization and hypervisor platforms including capacity, availability, lifecycle, performance, resilience, and governance.
• Lead the design and improvement of automation and scripting to reduce manual work and accelerate delivery across public, private, and hybrid clouds.
• Provide technical leadership for compute, storage, and data protection systems including backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery readiness.
• Collaborate with security, application, network, operations, and service management teams to define requirements and guide implementation decisions.
• Support data center operations through hardware lifecycle planning, rack and power planning, capacity tracking, and operational documentation.
• Promote secure, compliant, and cost-aware engineering practices throughout lifecycle management.
