Iron Mountain is seeking a motivated HR Policy and Compliance Specialist (Latin America) to join our Human Resources team. You will develop, implement, and maintain policies while ensuring compliance with laws and internal standards across LATAM.

This role collaborates with cross-functional teams, trains staff on regulatory obligations, and minimizes risk while supporting sustainable growth. English proficiency is required, Spanish fluency, and Portuguese preferred; remote work is supported.

Formación

  • Proven experience in HR compliance, policy management, or regulatory affairs in LATAM.
  • Strong knowledge of regional regulatory frameworks and compliance monitoring tools.
  • Risk assessment, analytical problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish; Portuguese is a plus.

Job Summary

Iron Mountain is seeking a motivated HR Policy and Compliance Specialist (Latin America) to join our Human Resources team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining organizational policies while ensuring strict compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal standards across the Latin America region. You will protect the organization by minimizing legal and reputational risks while supporting sustainable business growth. Our Human Resources team is a strategic partner dedicated to fostering a culture of integrity, enabling business performance, and supporting our employees across the region through collaborative and data-driven practices.

What You'll Do
  • Design, build, and implement a comprehensive Human Resources compliance framework for the region, leveraging data-driven compliance management systems and Human Resources Information Systems to automate workflows, monitor key metrics, and maintain digital audit trails.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, leadership, and external auditors to embed compliance requirements into day-to-day operations and advise the business on regulatory obligations.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational standards, policies, and local regulations by conducting regular compliance assessments, monitoring legal changes, and delivering targeted training programs to promote a culture of ethical business practices.
What You'll Bring
  • Proven experience in Human Resources compliance, policy management, or regulatory affairs within the Latin America region.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant regional regulatory frameworks, compliance monitoring tools, and industry standards.
  • Proven ability in risk assessment, analytical problem-solving, and managing stakeholder engagement with a high level of integrity and discretion.
  • Full professional proficiency in English and fluency in Spanish is required; proficiency in Portuguese is highly preferable.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to
  • Support the day-to-day administration of site EHS programs, policies, and procedures; Maintain regulatory records, reports, and audit documentation; Assist with OSHA, EPA, and internal compliance requirements. (40%)
  • Assist with incident investigations, near‑miss reporting, and corrective actions; Support hazard identification and workplace risk reduction activities; Track follow‑up actions and compliance items. (30%)
  • Support supervisors, managers, and employees with safe work practices; Support EHS team initiatives related to training, risk reduction, ergonomics, environmental compliance, and continuous improvement activities. (30%)
Representative Qualifications
  • Jurisdiction‑specific regulatory training preferred (e.g., OHSA 30‑hour course, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of OSHA and general EHS regulations.
  • Familiarity with incident investigation, hazard recognition, and corrective action processes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
