Diamond Pet Foods is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the Night Shift (4:00pm to 4:20am) to safeguard facility equipment and systems. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose and repair electrical/mechanical issues, and ensure production machines stay reliable under high-performance conditions.

Candidates should be multi-craft capable, physically able to lift 50 pounds, and proficient with schematics and computers. This is an on-site, full-time role with mandatory overtime.

Formación

• Must hold a valid driver's license.
• Successful completion of pre-employment screening (drug screen, background check, and physical).
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds, climb, squat, bend, pull, push, etc.
• Must be computer literate.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure all electrical units in the facility are properly functioning.
• Analyze machine errors to diagnose and repair equipment problems, and routinely check for equipment malfunctions.
• Clean, lubricate, disassemble, and adjust parts, equipment, and machinery.
• Perform welding, fabrication, read schematics, and apply preventative measures.
• Study blueprints and manuals to determine correct installations and repairs.
• Record parts/materials used, repairs, and maintenance performed.
• Comply with SOPs, GMPs, HACCP, Lockout Tagout policies.
• Overtime is mandatory and may include on-call hours.

Maintenance Technician - Night Shift

Join our dynamic pet food manufacturing team as a Maintenance Technician on the Night Shift, 4:00pm to 4:20am, where your maintenance expertise will help manage the physical integrity, safety, and functionality of our facilities, grounds, and critical mechanical equipment, keeping the highest standards of safety and excellence. In this on-site, full-time position, you will focus on executing routine preventive maintenance programs and respond swiftly to reactive repair requests. Tasks may include performing a wide variety of electrical repairs, updates, and preventative maintenance, including diagnostic and operational verifications to ensure that all production machinery, electrical equipment, and systems remain fully functional for use at high-performance levels. If you are a proactive problem-solver with multi-craft capabilities across various facility infrastructure systems, this is the job for you.

Pay Rate

$22.00 per hour

Plus $2.50 per hour night shift differential

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure all electrical units in the facility are properly functioning.
• Analyze machine errors to diagnose and repair equipment problems, and routinely check for equipment malfunctions. Test results to ensure full function has been achieved.
• Clean, lubricate, disassemble, and adjust parts, equipment, and machinery.
• Perform functions such as welding, fabrication, reading schematics, and preventative measures.
• Study blueprints and manuals to determine correct installations and repairs.
• Record parts/materials used, repairs, and maintenance performed.
• Comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), GMP’s, HACCP, Lockout Tagout policy, etc.
• Working overtime is MANDATORY and requires full participation. This may involve on-call hours.
• Keep work area clean and maintain assigned portion of master sanitation schedule.
• Report all safety violations and hazards to the supervisor immediately and participate in all safety programs and procedures. Must always wear required PPE.
• Other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned by the supervisor to be accepted with a positive and professional attitude.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Work is performed primarily indoors in an office setting, but employees may be outdoors and near operating equipment, loud noises, and loose particles.
• Work performed requires employees to operate in all different temperatures/weather, heights, and dusty areas.
• Employees are required to wear a bump cap, hearing protection, safety shoes/boots, and safety glasses at all times in production areas.
