Job summary

WSP en Colombia is seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to provide mechanical design support for pump stations and conveyance systems in water and wastewater infrastructure. Experience in water and/or wastewater treatment would be highly beneficial.

The role requires 7–10 years of mechanical engineering experience, advanced English proficiency, and strong coordination with civil and structural teams to deliver projects across water infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of mechanical engineering experience.
• Pump station design experience.
• Water and wastewater systems expertise.
• Equipment selection and piping experience.
• Familiarity with multidisciplinary coordination.
• Treatment plant experience is a plus.
• Advanced English proficiency, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Develop pump station layouts and mechanical design
• Develop P&IDs
• Support system curve development, equipment selection and system layouts
• Prepare and review piping arrangements and valve configurations
• Contribute to drawings, models, and specifications
• Support proposal and cost estimate development
• Coordinate with civil and structural teams
