Learning and Development Specialist – Law Firm

Leeds Professional Resources provided pay range: $95,000.00/yr - $115,000.00/yr. This range is provided by Leeds Professional Resources. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience – talk with your recruiter to learn more.

This role will oversee training and development for a large law firm. A strong background in virtual/in‑person training and the use of AI tools is preferred.

Typical Responsibilities
  • Needs Assessment: Work with leadership (Practice Leaders, Partners) to identify skill gaps and training needs.
  • Program Design & Development: Create materials (handouts, outlines, online modules) and curriculum for various levels (new hires, associates, paralegals).
  • Delivery: Facilitate in‑person, online (Teams, Zoom), and hybrid sessions; conduct one‑on‑one coaching and small group trainings.
  • Content Focus: Develop skills in legal research, writing, oral advocacy, trial prep, legal technology, and firm processes.
  • Coordination: Schedule sessions, manage logistics, handle invitations, and liaise with internal/external presenters.
  • Evaluation & Reporting: Track attendance, collect feedback, analyze effectiveness, and report on training impact.
  • Onboarding: Guide new hires through firm procedures and essential skills.
  • Mentorship: Support mentor/mentee programs and peer groups.
