We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Java Engineer to drive the development of scalable, high-performance applications in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining backend systems that support large-scale, data-driven solutions. This position offers the opportunity to lead technical initiatives, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate across international teams to deliver robust, production-ready software. Accountabilities
  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of backend services using Java, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability
  • Oversee full software development lifecycle activities, from requirements gathering and architecture design to coding, testing, and deployment
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including data scientists, DevOps, and QA to integrate services and maintain high system performance
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and infrastructure‑as‑code to streamline development and delivery processes
  • Mentor junior engineers, share best practices, and foster a culture of technical excellence and collaboration
  • Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies to improve system efficiency, security, and scalability
Requirements
  • 6+ years of professional experience in Java development, including leadership or team lead experience
  • Strong knowledge of backend frameworks, design patterns, and microservices architecture
  • Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Terraform, Git)
  • Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with modern data storage solutions
  • Experience mentoring or leading engineering teams, fostering collaboration and technical growth
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly
  • Bonus: Exposure to machine learning operations (MLOps), feature stores, or large‑scale data pipelines
