EPAM Systems, Inc. in Colombia is seeking a Lead Java Developer to take full ownership of demanding projects from concept through production. You will shape services that manage investment data across distributed systems, emphasizing accuracy, reliability, and scalability.

The role is hybrid, requiring four office days per week, with responsibilities spanning API and microservice development, architecture guidance, AWS deployment, and mentoring engineers to raise technical capability.

Formación

• 5+ years of hands-on Java and Spring Boot development.
• At least 1 year leading and overseeing development teams.
• Experience building APIs, microservices, and distributed system architectures.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures and Kafka.
• Fluent English (B2+) for requirements translation.

Responsabilidades

• Build, release, and support software solutions using Java and Spring Boot as the foundation.
• Produce robust, scalable APIs, microservices, and distributed system components.
• Oversee engineering lifecycle from planning to production care and delivery.
• Solve complex application and data problems ensuring longevity and reliability.
• Contribute to architecture decisions, code reviews, and CI/CD setup.
• Deploy on AWS and cloud-native tools to ensure scalable infrastructure.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and business partners on technical solutions.
• Mentor and transfer knowledge to peers to raise team capability.
