Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. (AJG) is looking for a Data Architect based in Bogotá, Colombia, to define and evolve the regional data architecture across LATAM. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience in data architecture and hands-on experience with Snowflake, Azure, and analytics tools.

The role includes ensuring a robust data pipeline, governance, and providing support for testing and validations. Candidates must be proficient in both English and Spanish, and experience with Salesforce is a plus.

Overview

In this role, you'll shape the end to end data architecture for LATAM, from Salesforce and legacy system ingestion through to Snowflake, Azure, reporting, analytics, and AI use cases. You'll work across a regional setup with global standards, so the design supports country needs while staying scalable and consistent. You'll be based in LATAM, with Bogotá preferred and flexibility on location.

How you'll make an impact

In this role, you'll shape the end to end data architecture for LATAM and help make sure the full data flow works as one connected system. You'll work across ingestion, modelling, governance, reporting, and AI readiness, so the platform is scalable, consistent, and useful for the business.

• You will define and evolve the regional data architecture across LATAM, covering ingestion, integration, transformation, storage, governance, and consumption.
• You will design how data comes in from Salesforce and legacy systems, using tools such as Fivetran or similar solutions.
• You will help make sure data is complete, consistent, and reconciled across source systems and platform layers.
• You will set data modelling standards that work for analytics, reporting, and multi country use.
• You will design consumption layers that give BI teams, analysts, and business users the access they need.
• You will help set up data governance, classification, and access controls so the platform is secure and well managed.
• You will put in place data quality, validation, and reconciliation checks across the full lifecycle.
• You will shape pipeline orchestration, including scheduling, dependencies, error handling, and monitoring.
• You will support testing and validation, including SIT, UAT, and end to end data checks.
• You will keep architecture documentation up to date, including data flows, schemas, and dependencies.
• You will guide engineering and BI teams on architecture choices and best practice.
• You will help the platform scale as new countries, systems, and data sources are added.
• You will keep AI readiness in mind so the data environment can support advanced analytics and future GenAI use cases.

About you

• You have 8+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or analytics engineering, and have delivered end to end data solutions in complex enterprise environments.
• You have a bachelor’s degree.
• You have hands‑on experience with Snowflake or a similar cloud data platform, Azure data services, dbt, Fivetran, orchestration tools such as Airflow or Automic, Power BI, and advanced SQL.
• You understand Salesforce or similar CRM data models, and you have worked with data governance, security, access control, data quality, testing, CI/CD, and release management.
• You can work across regional and global stakeholders, explain technical decisions clearly, and keep architecture documentation up to date.
• You have advanced English and Spanish level. Portuguese is a plus.
