Job summary

Kyndryl is seeking Infrastructure Specialists in Colombia to design, implement, migrate, and integrate virtualization solutions based on VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V. You will participate in transformation projects, platform consolidation, and technology modernization, ensuring availability, performance, and security standards are met.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in x86 server/infrastructure roles, Windows/Linux expertise, and strong scripting with PowerShell, along with English proficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with effective written and verbal communication.
• English proficiency: Intermediate to advanced (required for global communication and documentation).

Infrastructure Specialists at Kyndryl are project-based subject matter experts in all things infrastructure – good at providing analysis, documenting and diagraming work for hand-off, offering timely solutions, and generally “figuring it out.” This is a hands-on role where your feel for the interaction between a system and its environment will be invaluable to every one of your clients.

Specialist in Wintel Infrastructure Implementation and Virtualization

Job Objective:

Design, implement, migrate, and integrate virtualization solutions based on VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V, participating in infrastructure transformation projects, platform consolidation, and technology modernization, ensuring compliance with availability, performance, and security standards.

Main Responsibilities:

• More than 5 years of experience in x86 server/application migration or related IT infrastructure roles.
• In-depth knowledge of Windows and Linux Operating Systems
• VMware vCenter/ESXi/Microsoft Hyper-V/ Failover Clustering implementation and migration experience.
• Networking for virtualized environments.
• PowerShell.
• Experience carrying out migration or technology transformation projects.
• Experience with public/private cloud management, especially migrations from onprem to cloud.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills; effective written and verbal communication.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• English proficiency: Intermediate to advanced (required for global communication and documentation)
