Job summary

Sanimax is seeking an Internal Auditor in Colombia to strengthen internal controls and support risk management initiatives. You will collaborate with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and Corporate teams to drive efficiency and compliance across the business.

The role requires at least 2 years in internal or related audits, with a focus on manufacturing processes. Fluency in Spanish and English is needed, and a commitment to independence and professional skepticism is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• CIA/CPA/CISA or similar designation is a plus.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Internal Audit, External Audit, Internal Controls, Compliance, or Risk Management.

Responsibilities

• Execute risk-based operational, financial, and compliance audits across business processes.
• Conduct process walkthroughs, risk assessments, and control testing.
• Evaluate and strengthen internal controls to mitigate business risks.
• Monitor corrective action plans and validate remediation efforts.
• Analyze operational and financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.

What You'll Do

• Execute risk-based operational, financial, and compliance audits across business processes.
• Conduct process walkthroughs, risk assessments, and control testing.
• Evaluate and strengthen internal controls to mitigate business risks.

• Analyze operational and financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and improvement opportunities.
• Support annual audit planning and risk assessment activities.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders while maintaining professional independence and objectivity.

What We're Looking For

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• CIA, CPA, CISA, or similar professional designation is considered an asset.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Internal Audit, External Audit, Internal Controls, Compliance, or Risk Management.
• Previous experience within a manufacturing environment is required.
• Experience in Finance, Accounting, Cost Accounting, Controllership, FP&A, or Business Analysis is an asset.

Technical Knowledge

• Risk-based auditing methodologies.
• Operational and financial controls.
• Manufacturing operations and supply chain processes.
• Inventory management and costing.
• ERP systems and data analytics.

Work Schedule

Monday to Tuesday: 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Wednesday to Friday: 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Availability outside regular working hours may occasionally be required based on business needs.
