Formación

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience estimating I&E construction projects in oil & gas.
• Strong working knowledge of I&E systems and installation practices.
• Fluent in English and Spanish for effective communication.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with estimating platforms (InEight, RSMeans, Sage Estimating) preferred.
• Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal).
• Bilingual: English-Spanish fluency; daily interface with U.S. project teams.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilidades

Overview

Audubon Construction Solutions is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented I&E Estimator to support our Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) construction operations. This role will be based out of our Bogotá, Colombia office and will play a key role in developing accurate, competitive estimates for industrial I&E construction projects, including compressor stations, meter stations, processing facilities, and midstream infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Analyze bid documents, construction drawings, and specifications to develop I&E construction estimates
• Develop quantity takeoffs for conduit, wire, panels, terminations, lighting, controls, and instrumentation
• Interpret one-line diagrams, loop diagrams, panel schedules, and control schematics
• Solicit pricing from vendors and subcontractors for materials and services
• Support pricing of labor, equipment, and indirects using historical data and productivity factors
• Build structured estimate packages using estimating software and Excel
• Participate in internal estimate reviews and turnover meetings
• Assist with the development of budgets, change orders, and scope clarifications
• Coordinate with procurement and construction teams to ensure alignment with project execution plans
• Support proposal preparation, bid strategy development, and customer presentations as needed

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience estimating I&E construction projects in oil & gas, energy, or heavy industrial sectors
• Strong working knowledge of I&E systems, materials, and installation practices
• Experience reading and interpreting P&IDs, electrical drawings, and control documentation
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with estimating platforms (e.g., InEight, RSMeans, Sage Estimating, or similar) preferred
• Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal)
• Bilingual: English-Spanish fluency. Fluency in English (spoken and written) is critical, as this role will interface daily with project teams and stakeholders across the U.S.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working for an EPC or self-perform construction company
• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, Industrial Engineering, or related field
• Familiarity with U.S. industry codes and standards (NEC, API, ISA)
