EPAM Systems, Inc. is seeking a Chief Software Engineer in Colombia to build a next-generation AI-powered financial assistant platform.

You will lead hands-on engineering across design and delivery in a small, high-autonomy team, delivering chat, reporting, and bespoke interfaces for investment workflows. You will design scalable architectures, build backend APIs with FastAPI in Python, and apply LLM capabilities to accelerate delivery while mentoring engineers and upholding high quality and

Formación

7+ years of software engineering experience.
Advanced Python development.
Experience shipping backend services with modern frameworks.
Leadership to drive technical decisions and mentor engineers.
Strong cloud infrastructure and Terraform expertise.
Experience with LLM/Gen AI workflows.

Responsabilidades

Lead end-to-end delivery of an AI-powered assistant platform from concept to production.
Design scalable service architectures and define reliability, security, and performance requirements.
Build backend APIs and services in Python using FastAPI.
Integrate LLM capabilities and AI-assisted development methods.
Collaborate with business users to refine and ship improvements.
Mentor engineers and enforce engineering standards.
