A global materials company based in Bogotá is seeking a Global Master Data Analyst. This role is responsible for managing financial master data and driving improvements in data processes. The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in finance or related fields and at least 5 years of experience in accounting/reporting. Familiarity with SAP systems is crucial for success in this role.

  • 3+ years of experience using SAP Finance & Controlling applications.
  • Working experience with SAP MDG-F preferred.

Global Master Data Analyst

Fluor & Energy Materials, an Orbia business, is looking for a Global Master Data Analyst to be based at LATAM!

Job Summary / Purpose

Ensure core financial master data of Orbia is maintained according to established data framework and high quality standards. This role will also be responsible to analyze and lead corporate improvement initiatives related to master data and SAP Central Finance architecture supporting accounting and reporting processes of Orbia’s business groups. An ideal candidate should be highly motivated to contribute to a team which is shaping ways of working towards a future fit Finance organization.

Main Responsibilities
  • Oversee the integrity, quality, and lifecycle management of Orbia’s core financial master data, including GL accounts, cost centers, profit centers, and related structures. Ensure alignment with global standards and support all business groups in a federated model.
  • Support the preparation, maintenance and validation of requests to change globally governed financial master data in SAP MDG-F. Champion continuous improvement and harmonization of financial data processes, leveraging SAP Central Finance, SAP Analytics Cloud, and other technologies (workflows and AI) to enable automation, analytics, and best-in-class reporting.
  • Develop practical workflow tools within a technology suite including Office 365 and supported by AI (MS Copilot). Identify and implement automation where possible.
  • Act as a liaison between Orbia Corporate, business group finance teams, IT, and external partners to coordinate master data initiatives, resolve complex data issues, and ensure effective change management for new processes, system enhancements, and global rollouts.
  • Develop and enforce data quality standards, controls, and compliance frameworks (including SOX and internal audit requirements). Monitor key performance indicators and proactively identify and remediate data quality issues.
  • Develop and provide expert guidance, training, and support to master data requesters and stakeholders across Orbia, fostering a culture of data stewardship and continuous learning.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of master data processes, standards, and guidelines. Contribute to the development and dissemination of knowledge assets within the Center of Excellence.
  • Participate in projects related to SAP S/4HANA migrations, data migrations, and analytics initiatives, ensuring master data requirements are met and solutions are scalable and future‑ready.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent with coursework relating to Finance & Accounting, IT, or Economics
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Knowledge/ Experience Required
  • 5+ years of experience obtained in an accounting/reporting roles at an international company
  • 3+ years of experience in using SAP Finance & Controlling applications
  • Working experience with SAP MDG-F (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of processes and applications in financial accounting, controlling and reporting
  • Knowledge of master data settings influencing accounting, controlling and reporting processes
  • SAP ERP (ECC / S4) functionalities and terminology
  • SAP Central Finance.
