Job summary

Clara is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to own backend and frontend development in our Collections squad. You will build features end-to-end—from data models and APIs to the interfaces used by customers and internal teams.

This is a high-ownership role where you identify gaps, propose solutions, and ship. You’ll design backend services in Java + Spring Boot, build frontend with React + TypeScript, and manage data in PostgreSQL/Redis.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of backend development experience in Java, including Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience with React and TypeScript— you’ve shipped real UI, not just tutorials.
• Solid understanding of PostgreSQL and distributed systems fundamentals.
• Experience with CI/CD, Docker, Git, and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
• AI-augmented development is how you work— daily use of AI tools to write, review, and debug code.
• You identify what’s missing before someone asks — proactive, not reactive.
• Working proficiency in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement backend services in Java + Spring Boot, focusing on financial flows (payments, collections, reconciliation).
• Build and maintain frontend interfaces in React + TypeScript— own a feature across both layers.
• Model data and manage PostgreSQL and Redis for transactional and caching needs.
• Work with event-driven architectures (Kafka or similar) in a distributed microservices environment.
• Build and secure RESTful APIs for internal and external consumption.
• Use AI coding tools as a default part of your workflow.
• Collaborate with Pod Lead and PM to translate product needs into technical decisions.

What you’ll do

Who you are

Nice to haves

• Experience withKafka,RabbitMQ, or other message brokers
• Background infinancial services, payments, or fintech— domain ramp is real; prior exposure matters
• Experience inKubernetesand production observability
• You’ve built something — side project, open source, internal tool — that you’re proud of and can walk us through
