EPAM Systems in Colombia seeks a software engineer to build backend services with Java Spring Boot and contribute to Angular applications. You will address security vulnerabilities, perform refactoring, and collaborate with leads, QA, architects, and security teams to uphold high engineering standards.

The role requires at least 2 years of professional experience, strong Java/Spring Boot and Angular (8+), and solid knowledge of TypeScript, REST APIs, and code quality tools such as Veracode,

Formación

• Minimum 2 years of professional software development.
• Proficient in Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience building Angular applications (Angular 8+ preferred).
• Strong knowledge of TypeScript, RxJS, HTML, CSS/SCSS, and REST APIs.
• Experience with enterprise applications and maintaining codebases.
• Familiar with modernization, upgrades, and migrations.
• Experience resolving security vulnerabilities using Veracode, CAST, SonarQube.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving with ownership mindset.
• Ability to work in a dynamic enterprise with competing priorities.
• Excellent English proficiency (B2+).

Responsabilidades

• Build and maintain backend services using Java Spring Boot.
• Contribute to Angular-based applications (Angular 8+ to current).
• Address security vulnerabilities flagged by Veracode and improve code quality.
• Carry out bug fixes, refactoring, dependency upgrades, and framework updates.
• Enhance performance, maintainability, and security of applications.
• Participate in code reviews and follow secure development practices.
• Collaborate with technical leads, QA, architects, and security teams.
• Investigate production issues while upholding high engineering standards.
