Addi in Colombia is seeking a frontend-focused engineer to build and evolve customer-facing interfaces using React JS and React Native, with TypeScript. You’ll work on testable components, integrate AI features, and optimize performance in a fast-growing fintech environment.

Formación

• Experience building user interfaces with HTML, CSS, React JS and React Native.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain unit, component, and end-to-end tests.
• Understanding of UX/UI design principles and responsive design.
• Familiarity integrating AI/ML APIs (OpenAI) into frontend apps and optimizing AI-driven features.

About The Role

What We’re Looking For

• Technical Expertise
  • Experience building user interfaces using well‑structured HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript frameworks, specifically React JS and React Native.
  • Experience in developing components with Typescript.
  • Proven ability to build, develop, and maintain unit, component, and end‑to‑end tests to ensure feature reliability.
  • UX/UI Design Foundations: Good understanding of UX/UI design principles like user centered design, responsive design, consistency, simplicity, etc.
  • Familiarity with integrating AI/ML APIs (e.g., OpenAI, LLMs, recommendation engines) into frontend applications. Understanding of how to consume and optimize AI‑driven features within modern JS frameworks (React, Vue, etc.).
  • Strong grasp of frontend architecture patterns (component-driven design, micro-frontends, state management at scale). Deep knowledge of performance optimization, code splitting, and building maintainable, scalable codebases.
• Curiosity and Continuous Learning Mindset
  • Strong desire to learn and stay updated with new technologies, tools, and best practices.

How The Hiring Process Looks Like

• Step 1: People Interview (30 min) A conversation with a recruiter to get to know you, your experience, and what you're looking for. We’ll also share more about Addi, our culture, and the role.
• Step 2: Initial Interview (45-60 min) A more in-depth conversation with the engineering manager, where we explore your skills, experience, and problem‑solving approach. The interview has a system design approach so prepare your self for it! We want to understand how you think and work.
• Step 3: Take Home Challenge (1 week) We’ll send you a practical case, you'll have 1 week to develop the best code you can, using best practices to show all your skills and potential. We would love to see how you interact with the code and your ability to understand the business need and apply it into your solution.
• Step 4: Deep Dive Interviews (60 min each) You’ll meet future colleagues and cross‑functional team members to get a feel for how we work together. We’re looking for strong contributors and cultural fits, so bring your questions, too!
• Step 5: Co-Founder Interview If there’s a strong match, you’ll have a final conversation with our Founder to align on expectations, cultural fit and ensure mutual excitement. From there, we’ll move quickly to an offer and discuss next steps.
