Summary

We’re building an AI-first Finance team at Platzi. As a Financial Planner, you’ll help transform how we make decisions faster, more data-driven, and highly automated. This role is ideal for someone who loves the intersection of finance, data, and AI, and who enjoys creating tools and models that go beyond traditional reporting.

Description

In this role, you’ll be responsible for financial planning and analysis across all parts of the business B2C, B2B, and new products. You’ll build models, forecast results, analyze performance, and translate data into insights that inform key decisions. You’ll work closely with Finance leadership and cross-functional teams including Product, Growth, Education, and Enterprise.

A big part of your job will be driving automation and efficiency. You’ll use SQL, AI tools, and automation platforms like n8n to clean and transform data, automate reports and reconciliations, and prototype new dashboards or workflows. You’ll constantly ask, "How can this be simpler or faster?" and take the initiative to make it happen.

You’ll also act as a business partner helping teams understand how financial metrics connect to business goals, defining and tracking key KPIs (revenue, churn, CAC, LTV, margins, pricing, etc.), and preparing materials for leadership and board discussions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or a similar finance role.
• Strong skills in financial modeling, forecasting, and presenting insights to stakeholders.
• Proven experience improving or automating financial or operational processes.
• Advanced command of Excel and Google Sheets.
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and analysis.
• Experience with business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar).
• Curiosity and hands‑on experience with AI tools (LLMs, copilots, n8n, or similar automation platforms).
• Bilingual (Spanish–English) with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have:

• Experience using Python for data analysis or automation.
• Background in tech, SaaS, or subscription-based businesses.
• Experience building dashboards or self‑serve tools for non‑finance teams.
