ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Financial Controller who operates at the intersection of finance, systems, and technology. This role is responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and scalability of financial operations while leveraging NetSuite, AI-powered tools, and automation to drive efficiency, insight, and speed across the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Operations & Control

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and continuous improvement
• Maintain management financial statements and internal controls
• Oversee general ledger, revenue recognition, AP/AR, payroll, and expense management
• Manage external auditors, tax advisors, and compliance partners

NetSuite Ownership & Optimization

• Serve as primary owner of NetSuite configuration, workflows, reporting, and integrations
• Build advanced saved searches, dashboards, and automated workflows
• Lead NetSuite upgrades, module implementations, and system enhancements
• Ensure seamless integration with billing, CRM, payroll, and forecasting tools

AI, Automation & Efficiency

• Identify and deploy AI-driven tools to accelerate close, improve forecasting, and detect anomalies
• Reduce manual work through workflow automation, RPA, and low-code tools
• Design scalable finance processes that support growth without linear headcount increases

Reporting, Insights & Decision Support

• Deliver timely, actionable financial reporting to leadership
• Analyze margins, unit economics, utilization, and project profitability
• Partner with the President and business leaders on forecasting, planning, and decision support

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Partnership

• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting and finance team
• Collaborate with Operations, Sales, Product, and Engineering
• Act as a strategic finance partner across the organization

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• 7+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience
• Experience in services, software, or SaaS environments
• Deep hands‑on NetSuite experience
• Strong GAAP and revenue recognition knowledge
• Demonstrated success improving processes through automation

Preferred

• Experience implementing AI-driven finance tools
• Background in scaling growth‑stage or PE‑backed companies
• Familiarity with modern finance and analytics stacks
