Michael Page Colombia is looking for a detail-oriented Finance & Accounting Supervisor to support finance operations for its Swiss entities. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience in financial roles and 1-2 years of experience in leading teams.

This position will play a key role in financial planning and analysis, month-end close, and budgeting activities, working in a hybrid modality, with additional perks such as private healthcare and meal bonuses.

Descripción

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Finance & Accounting Supervisor to support the finance operations of our Swiss entities while working closely with the U.S. corporate FP&A team. It is crucial that the candidate has by now 1-2 years leading small-medium teams.

This role combines financial planning & analysis and accounting, playing a key role in month-end close, forecasting, and financial reporting quality improvements. Analyze monthly financial results and explain variances vs. budget and forecast.

• Validate and support forecast submissions
• Partner with U.S. FP&A teams to provide financial insights and business drivers
• Prepare and review management reports (MMR) during monthly close
• Conduct cost center analysis and monitor administrative expenses

Accounting & Closing Activities

• Lead month-end close (MEC) activities, including:
  • Preparation of accruals and journal entries
  • Financial data validation prior to reporting
• Lead in the full accounting cycle, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Perform and review account reconciliations in compliance with SOX controls

Budgeting & Cost Control

• Ensure proper budget allocation to cost centers and GL accounts
• Monitor spending and track deviations from budget

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Act as the key point of contact for corporate finance teams (U.S.)
• Collaborate with shared services functions:
  • RTR (Record to Report)
  • PTP (Procure to Pay)

Process Improvement

• Lead initiatives to improve the quality and accuracy of financial statements
• Work with local operations and Business Service Center (BSC) teams

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
• 5 years of experience in FP&A, Accounting, or hybrid finance roles
• 1-2 years leading teams
• Experience in month-end close, budgeting, and financial analysis
• Familiarity with SOX compliance and account reconciliations
• Experience working in shared services or multinational environments is a plus

Technical Skills

• ERP: SAP S/4HANA (required)
• Reporting tools: Power BI (preferred)
• Strong Excel skills
