Caterpillar, Inc. in Cartagena, Colombia is seeking a Field Service Representative-1 to join our Product Support team.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, inspections, call-out services, and commissioning support to ensure reliable operation of gas turbines and turbomachinery at customer sites. The position requires safety discipline, ability to read engineering drawings and manuals, and travel across the territory with offshore and industrial exposure.

Formación

• Technical degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Automation, or related field.
• Typically 3–5 years of experience in related industry.
• Experience in overseas, offshore, remote, or field service environments.
• Experience with gas turbines and turbomachinery maintenance.
• Familiarity with rotating equipment and PLC systems.
• Ability to read drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Strong problem-solving skills and independent work in field service.

Responsabilidades

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, inspections, call-out services and commissioning support according to specifications.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues using manuals and sources of technical advice.
• Repair and adjust minor mechanical and electrical components and systems.
• Provide technical assistance to operations and maintenance crews.
• Prepare accurate daily reports and maintain equipment history records.
• Coordinate parts and material requisitions for efficient execution.
• Manage work orders and site information using the Workforce Management system.
• Maintain communication with supervision and customer representatives.
